Women's Stay Treat
A fun day for our CG Women ages 16 and up! Join us as we gather for a day dedicated to worship, play, rest, and prayer, and we are praying that it is a great experience for our Women's Community at CG. Our vision is that this would be open and accessible for all, regardless of age and season of life. Deck the Halls
Deck the Halls with us on November 22nd! Join us as we decorate the church for advent! We will have our "greening of the church" at 4pm, meeting in the Commons to start! Children are welcome to join with their parents and help out as a family! It will be a fun, festive, and relaxed time to gather and decorate for the coming of advent!

Cold Weather Shelter Volunteering
On the fourth Monday of every month from November-February, Common Ground is responsible for providing volunteers for the Cold Weather Shelters in Fredericksburg for our unhoused neighbors.
Common Ground volunteers are needed at both the Men’s and Women’s Shelter locations, and will set up the shelters to receive our unhoused neighbors for the night. Duties include things such as light cleaning, making beds, prepping for arrival of neighbors, making coffee, and helping neighbors check in for the night!

American Red Cross Blood Drive
Common Ground Church is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Friday, December 18th from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. If you are healthy and willing, please consider donating lifesaving blood to someone in need.
Appointments are highly encouraged! You can make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or CLICK HERE to schedule online.

New Years River Renewal
Water holds great spiritual significance in the Christian faith. From the stories of creation, flood, exodus and on down to the baptism of Jesus, water is a source of life and a symbol of purification. When we ponder our own baptism we are reminded of God's work in our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit.
On January 1st, 2027 we would like to invite you to a polar plunge of sorts but with a different purpose. We will gather at the River for a liturgy of baptismal renewal as we enter the cold waters of a new year to be reminded of our new life in Christ.

Saturday January 22-23rd, CGY will be having their annual StayTreat!
We will be together Friday night the 22nd and all day Saturday, Jan 23rd, for a fun combination of worship, learning, playing, serving, eating, and more!

Who We Are Membership Course
Are you new or new(ish) to Common Ground? We would love for you to come hear more about what we believe and Who We Are! This is a mandatory course for anyone wanting to serve our CG Kids area and very informative time for anyone looking to join up with what God is doing here among us.

Family Potluck
We’re excited to have lunch together as a family! Details to come on what to bring to share, but mark your calendars for our Family Potluck!
CG Kids Stuffy Sleepover!
Join us for our first ever Stuffy Sleepover! Have your child bring their favorite stuffy (and a pillow and blanket if it likes to be extra cozy!) and join us at church for a night of family fun, laughter, and connection.
On Friday, enjoy hands-on activity and craft stations in the Commons, giving your family plenty of opportunities to laugh and play together. Then we'll gather together for a bedtime story before it's time for the big adventure—your stuffy will stay overnight for a fun sleepover in your child’s own classroom!
The next morning, come back to reunite with your stuffy, enjoy a muffin, and hear a fun Rise-and-Shine Story Time.
The official event wraps up at 10:15 AM, but we hope you'll keep the fun going by heading to Kenmore Park with other families for more time to play, connect, and enjoy the morning together.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
